Travel advisory

At this time, all non-essential travel should be avoided. This includes travel into and out of B.C. and between regions of the province. For example:

  • Do not travel for a vacation
  • Do not travel to visit friends or family outside of your household or core bubble

What is essential travel?

Individual circumstances may affect whether a trip is considered essential or non-essential. Essential travel within B.C. includes:

  • Regular travel for work within your region
  • Travel for things like medical appointments and hospital visits

For example, if you live in Vancouver and work in Surrey you can continue to commute. 

If you need to travel for essential reasons, take the same health and safety precautions you do at home.

  • Wash your hands often
  • Practice safe distancing, 2 m
  • Travel only with yourself, household or pandemic bubble
  • Stick to the outdoors whenever possible
  • Clean spaces often
  • Wear a mask in indoor spaces

Travel for mountain sports

Ski and snowboard at your local mountains. For example, if you live in Vancouver, you should ski at Cypress, Grouse or Mt. Seymour. 

Coming from outside of B.C.

At this time, people travelling to B.C. from another province or territory within Canada should only come for essential reasons. If you do travel, you are expected to follow the same travel guidelines as everyone else in B.C.

Tues – Sat Open 9 am to 5 pm

Sun & Mon Closed

Please note we have several COVID 19 safety protocols in place . We ask that you please wear a mask whenever testing or sizing of ski gear is required. All our staff will be wearing masks whenever testing.

Upon entry of the store please use the hand sanitizer provided. Our washroom will only be available to staff at this time.

Please follow the directional arrow signs in the store so that we can minimize the risks of contact between customer.

Our full COVIC-19 plan is posted and will be regularly updated as directed by WorkSafe BC and the BC Health Ministry.

Nordic Ski Swap Cancelled

Many of you have been asking if we will be hosting our annual Nordic Ski Swap at our store this year. After much thought and research, we have decided to cancel the 2020 Nordic Ski Swap. Due to the uncertainties around COVID19, protocols and event limits we do not feel that we can safely run the event. The health and safety of our staff, our customers and our community must be the highest priority. We will look forward to running our swap again in 2021.We will be re-opening for the season on Tues Sept 15th with COVID protocols in place. We strongly recommend that you call to make an appointment if you are looking to purchase gear as we will be limiting number of customers in the store. Stay safe, stay 2M apart , and keep skiing and snowshoeing!
